Umm, yeah, an entry for 's Valentines Day contest... featuring Wanda Maximoff / The Scarlet Witch. Wanda doesn't strike me as a person who is ever happily in love, and I guess Valentines is the day when you realise your crush likes someone else. Whether it's the boy or the girl she likes, is up to you...
Either way, I'm not one for Valentines. It's cute and all, I thought it was the sweetest thing when I was a kid (I even dressed in all-pink when I was 10) now I just don't see the point.
I was actually very happy about how this turned out on paper. But then there was the "whole take a picture and the crappyness in Photoshop" part, which made it look like this. I need to have a word with my dad about a scanner for my B-day...
So, if you can't read what it says (I tried to make it as clear as possible) it's all here;
frame 2; "Valentines day... Strangest day of the year. Toad already proposed to me twice... And I've gotten more chocolate and flowers than I can count... From guys I hardly know.
frame 3; Names of some characters she's been paired with, both fanon and canon. "Todd, Evan, Vision, Kurt, St.John"
frame 4; "It feels nice being noticed, until you realise the persone you wished would notice..."
frame 5; "...is too busy noticing someone else..."
Just out of curiosity, which X-Men are you going by?
You have to forgive me, I'm one who has read all of the original X-Men comics (not any of their new hybrid breeds).
There the Scarlet Witch was never a lonely emo girl.

Emo is a little hard to explain (it's easier when you know people that are, lol)
Um, I'd say it's when someone's depressed and is always that way. They're pouty to the point where it's showy and they're overdramatic about their emotions.
It's okay that you draw from the newer breeds, I didn't mean to seem snappy about that. I've watched the saturday morning cartoons myself, lol.
I just have read all of the very first X-Men comics and I know each of the characters so well but then have their new age counterparts confuse me.
(I'm not a big fan of the movies)

I'm in my third year of Japanese, so I know how hard foreign slang can be. O_o
The one thing that gets me about any of the newer forms of X-Men is Kitty Pryde. I LOVE Kitty Pryde.
She was "Sprite" in the old comics (not Shadowcat). She was about the same age, though, maybe a little younger, a dancer, and had adorable frizzy brown hair. And she was in love with Colossus. None of that seems to remain nowadays.

Yeah, I've noticed that Kitty's changed a lot over the years. But I guess that's because she's a character that is really likeable and they want her to appeal to newer and younger readers. And I think they want to make her more modern, to fit the year we're in.

But you have a point, I do draw a lot from the newer breeds, both House of M and, yes, X-men, Evolution.
Don't really know how to explain it further...
I have to ask, though. Emo? I read it all over this place, but I've never understood what that meant...

Yeah, the newer ones can really differ from the originals. But I've become used to the new ones 'cos I can't find that many old issues in Norway
I agree with you on the movie part though. Sometimes it feels like they just created new characters with comic-mutants' powers.
